Charles (aka Chas) and Ashley were married at St. Joseph Catholic
Church in Maumee, OH. It was a perfect day for a June wedding! Ashley
& the girls were all done up at Ahava Spa Wellness Center in downtown Toledo that morning. It was the perfect backdrop for Ashley & her bridesmaids!

Chas & Ashley’s wedding ceremony was held at St. Joesph Catholic Church in Maumee, OH. They were surrounded by SO much love and support from their friends and family. The homily was about just that: witnessing the beginning, going through marriage, and needing love and support from their friends and family as they go through life together.
They met in uptown Maumee, and since were were there we hit some special spots for photos. They met at Maumee QuickPrint, so of course we started there. The windows in the store front provided beautiful light for portraits! Chas plays in the band The Eight Fifteens and frequently plays at The Village Idiot, so we went there nex
I sometimes refer to myself as an “original idiot” because I’m one of the original customers (back in the 90’s). How fun was it to do Ashley & Chas’ wedding portraits there??? It was SO fun! Of course, we had to go to Dales Bar & Grill and take pictures as well! There was another wedding party at Dales doing the same thing we were…. it was too funny!
I headed to the Maumee River Yacht Club inside Walbridge Park where the reception was held. Bartz Viviano outdid themselves!!! Ann Strickland truly amazes me with her bouquets and continues to WOW me every time I walk into a room she worked on! I can’t say enough about her and her work
She introduced me to Chas’ mom, Beth, years ago and we became instant friends. I was totally honored she commissioned me for Chas & Ashley’s wedding!! What a beautiful couple, beautiful energy and beautiful love!!!
We had some wedding party fun at Walbridge Park with the bridge as our prop. The guys wanted to recreate Abbey Road album cover, how could I say “no”?
Ashley’s mom, Darrah, gave a speech about Chas & Ashley during the reception and she quoted a paragraph from the The Book Of Qualities. It was perfect! Here’s what she said about Ashley: “Beauty is startling. She wears a gold shawl in the summer and sells seven kinds of honey at the flea market. She is young and old at once, my daughter and my grandmother. In school she excelled in mathematics and poetry. Beauty doesn’t anger easily, but she was annoyed with the journalist who kept asking her about her favorites as if she could have one favorite color or one favorite flower. She does not mind questions though, and she is fond of riddles. Beauty will dance with anyone who is brave enough to ask her.”
